Privacy & Cookies
How this website handles your data, and your rights under UK data protection law.

Who is responsible
This website is owned and operated by Frank Schlick, a media composer based in Oxford, United Kingdom. For any question about this notice or about your personal data, you can reach me by email at mail@frankschlick.com.
What data this site collects
This is a portfolio website. It has no contact forms, no newsletter sign-up, no account system and no advertising or analytics trackers. I do not collect your name, email address or any other personal detail through this site directly. The only way you share personal data with me is if you choose to send an email using the address above, in which case I use it solely to reply to you.
Server logs
Like almost all websites, the hosting server may automatically record standard technical information when a page is requested, such as your IP address, browser type, and the date and time of the visit. These logs are generated by the hosting provider for security and to keep the site running reliably. They are not used to identify individual visitors or to build profiles.
Embedded content and cookies
Some pages include media hosted by third parties. When that media loads, the third party may receive your IP address and set its own cookies. This site itself sets no tracking or analytics cookies of its own.
- Demo reel (SoundCloud): the audio player on the home page is provided by SoundCloud and loads when you open that page. See the SoundCloud Privacy Policy.
- Trailers and video (YouTube and Vimeo): project trailers load only after you click play. YouTube videos use its privacy-enhanced mode. See the Google/YouTube Privacy Policy and the Vimeo Privacy Policy.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Doing so may stop the embedded players from working, but the rest of the site will function normally.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask for access to any personal data I hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable form. Because this site collects no personal data by itself, in practice this only concerns any email correspondence you have sent me. To exercise any of these rights, email mail@frankschlick.com.
Complaints
If you believe your data has been handled improperly, you have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office, at ico.org.uk.
